We hand build our baklavas with layer upon layer of buttered phyllo dough. Then we add a mixture of chopped walnuts and dried cranberries and top it off with more layers of buttered phyllo. We bake it to a perfect golden brown and then drench the baklava in a sauce made with pure New England maple syrup, touched with a taste of cinnamon and lemon juice.
The result is a dessert that is the perfect end to a great meal, and a delicious companion to mug of coffee
or a fine cup of tea.
